Zillertal Austria

The Zillertal (the “Ziller Valley”) is a valley in Tyrol, Austria, through which the River Ziller flows. It’s the widest valley south of the Inntal (“Inn Valley”) and gives its name to the Zillertal Alps, the heavily glaciated part of the Alps in which it sits. The Tux Alps lie to the west, and the lower, grassy peaks of the Kitzbühel Alps are to the east. The Zillertal is one of the most popular valleys in Tyrol for tourists, and its largest town is Mayrhofen.
