Alassio, Italy

Alassio Italy

The city of Alassio is in the province of Savona (Liguria region) on the Riviera di Ponente. It’s known as a tourist resort and also for its port, “Luca Ferrari”, small but very bold in character. The town is bordered on one side by its splendid bay, and on the other by green hills. Between the 1950s and 1960s Alassio was a fashionable destination, alongside the nearby towns of Portofino and Sanremo. There’s plenty to see in the city, but the most distinctive and best-known feature is its wall of colourful tiles.
