Cumbernauld United Kingdom

Cumbernauld is one of Scotland’s best-known New Towns, created in the 1950s to accommodate population overspill from Glasgow. The town centre was regenerated in the 1990s and includes what is now recognised as Britain’s first shopping centre and the world’s first multi-level covered town centre. This has since been extended with the Antonine Shopping Centre, offering a wide range of shops. The town also has a broad selection of places to eat.
