Zapopan Mexico

Zapopan is one of the most important cities in Jalisco. It’s well known for its architecture and museums, as well as for the natural attractions that make it a place well worth visiting in the state. Its natural highlights include geothermal areas, the Ixcatán geysers, the Horsetail Waterfall (about 30 metres high), the Caliente River spring, the Spring Forest and El Centinela. The Metropolitan Park has over 113 hectares of green areas, making it one of the most important green spaces in the whole metropolitan area. The city’s spas have also become major tourist attractions, especially in the summer months. Other points of interest in Zapopan include the Arch of Entry, Paseo Teopiltzintli, City Hall, Plaza de las Américas, the Basilica of Zapopan, Tesistán Parish, Atemajac Parish, Batán Parish, the Church of San Francisco de Ixcatán, the Nextipac Chapel, the Chapel of Santa Ana Tepetitlán, the Wixarika Huichol Art Museum, the Museum of the Virgin of Zapopan, the Benito Albarrán Hunting Museum, the Zapopan Art Museum, the Trompo Mágico Museum and the Municipal Centre for Art and Culture.
