Kolymbia, Rhodes Greece

Kolymbia is a town on the island of Rhodes. Kolymbia is laid out in a very rectangular way. The streets leading to the hotels run off Eucalyptus Avenue. The streets are named after European capitals, except for European Union Street. You shouldn’t think of these streets as proper streets though – Moskauer Strasse, for example, is just a dirt track, and the further you go inland, the worse the roads get. There’s an ATM at the Port Royal Hotel that you can access from outside. Otherwise, there’s another ATM, but it’s fairly temperamental and only works during the summer months. If you enter the wrong PIN three times, your card is swallowed for good. This machine is near the pharmacy. It’s easier to get cash in Afandou, but make sure you find a machine that accepts debit cards, as that’s not guaranteed here.
