Mora d'Ebre Spain

Mora d’Ebre is the capital of Ribera d’Ebre, the northernmost county of Terres de l’Ebre. Set right on the river, on the slope of a small hill crowned by the remains of Mora Castle, the town offers picturesque views of whitewashed façades. The atmospheric old quarter, beside the Castle and the Prioral Church, is a maze of narrow lanes steeped in history. The main sights in Mora d’Ebre are the Castle, where you can still see sections of the outer walls and two towers, the Hermitage of Sant Jeroni, and the arched bridge, one of the town’s most iconic landmarks. If you’re interested in history, head to the neighbouring town of Móra la Nova to visit the Railway Interpretation Centre. This area was traditionally the main junction for trains arriving in Catalonia from across Spain. Close to Mora d’Ebre you’ll find the beautiful towns of Miravet, Flix, Riba-roja and Tivissa.
