Segrate Italy

Segrate is a town and comune (municipality) in the Metropolitan City of Milan, in the Lombardy region of northern Italy. An eastern suburb of Milan, it includes Milan Linate Airport, Idroscalo lake, the Novegro exhibition centre, and the well-known residential area of Milano Due. Europark Idroscalo Milano (originally Lunapark Milano) is a popular amusement park that has been operating since 1965. Although it is a small town, Segrate is home to major institutions such as the CILEA Interuniversity Consortium, one of the most advanced supercomputing centres in Europe, and the San Raffaele Hospital. Segrate was granted the honorary title of city by presidential decree on 23 June 1989.
