Agropoli, Italy

Agropoli Italy

Agropoli is a town and municipality located in the Cilento area of the province of Salerno, in the Campania region of Italy. It sits at the beginning of the Cilentan Coast, on the Tyrrhenian Sea. The promontory on which Agropoli stands has been inhabited since Neolithic times. However, it appears that it was not until the later Bronze and Iron Ages that it became continuously occupied by a stable, indigenous population that lived off hunting and fishing.
