Cavenago di Brianza Italy

Cavenago di Brianza is part of the province of Milan and lies between the Molgora Torrent and the Vallone River, northeast of the capital city. It has around 6,300 inhabitants and is located within the Protected Area of Le Foppe, which is part of the Rio Vallone Park. Its origins date back to the late ninth century, and its name may be related either to the abundance of game in the area or to the numerous vineyards in the surrounding countryside. Interesting places to visit in Cavenago di Brianza include Palazzo Rasini, built between the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries and preserving important stuccoes by Andrea Appiani; and the Church of Santa Maria in Campo, whose interior is decorated with an important cycle of frescoes by Bernardino Luini.
