Cornaredo Italy

The oldest part of the municipality of Cornaredo is the hamlet of San Pietro all’Olmo, located along the ancient road to Vercellas. Since the Middle Ages, the area has been rich in important agricultural resources: cereal crops, pastures, vineyards, various pig farms, and mulberry plantations for silkworms. Towards the end of the nineteenth century, the town’s economy took a turn that greatly changed its appearance. The first weekend of September is the time of the village festival, commemorating the consecration of the parish church dedicated to Saints James and Philip.
