Herning Denmark

Herning is a Danish city in the center of the Jutland Peninsula and the seat of the municipality of the same name in the Central Jutland Region. It has a population of just over 46,000, and is part of a wider area with more than 1,000,000 inhabitants. Herning lies in a heathland area traditionally known for wool production and the textile industry. Although its origins date back to the Middle Ages, the town only really developed in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, making it a relatively young city with no historic buildings. By population, Herning is the fourth-largest city in the Central Jutland Region and the eleventh-largest city in Denmark.
