Kolymbia is a town on the island of Rhodes. It has a very rectangular layout: the roads leading to the hotels branch off from Eucalyptus Avenue. Most streets are named after European capitals, except for European Union Street. Don’t think of them as fully developed streets, though—Moskauer Strasse, for example, is just a dirt road, and the further inland you go, the rougher the roads become. There is an ATM at the Port Royal Hotel that can be accessed from outside. There is another cash machine near the pharmacy, but it is quite temperamental, operates only during the summer months, and will keep your card if you enter the wrong PIN three times. You’ll generally find it easier to withdraw money in Afandou, but make sure to use a machine that accepts standard bank cards, as this is not always guaranteed.
