Rosolini Italy

Rosolini is a municipality in the Province of Syracuse, Sicily, in southern Italy. It is about 200 kilometers (120 miles) southeast of Palermo and about 40 kilometers (25 miles) southwest of Syracuse. Rosolini was a town in feudal times and a settlement in the late Imperial Roman and Byzantine periods. In the 15th century, Rosolini was a fief of the Platamones. In 1713, the Moncada family founded the newer town of Rosolini that exists today. Rosolini borders the following municipalities: Ispica, Modica, Noto, and Ragusa.
