Sabi Sand Game Reserve is a private wildlife reserve adjacent to Kruger National Park in the Lowveld of Mpumalanga, South Africa. Officially named Sabi Sand Wildtuin, it is made up of a group of privately owned game reserves. The main access, Newington Gate, is at 24°52′9″S 31°24′16″E, west of Kruger Gate and the Skukuza camp in Kruger Park. Additional entrances include Gowrie Gate in the far north and Shaws Gate in the south. The reserve is named after the Sabie River along its southern boundary and the Sand River, which flows through the area. Covering 62,308 hectares (623.08 km²), it shares an unfenced 50 km (31 mi) boundary with Kruger National Park to the east, allowing wildlife to move freely between the two areas.
