Salo Italy

Salò is a town and comune in the Province of Brescia in the Lombardy region of northern Italy. It lies on the shores of Lake Garda and has the lake’s longest promenade. From 1943 to 1945, the city served as the seat of government of the Italian Social Republic, which is often referred to as the “Salò Republic” (Repubblica di Salò in Italian).
