Mora d'Ebre Spain

Mora d'Ebre is the capital of the Ribera d’Ebre, the northernmost county of Terres de l’Ebre in Catalonia, Spain. Set on the banks of the river on the slope of a small hill crowned by the remains of Mora Castle, the town offers picturesque views of whitewashed façades. The charming old quarter, next to the Castle and the Prioral Church, is a maze of narrow, history-filled alleyways. The main attractions in Mora d’Ebre include the Castle, where you can still see the outer walls and two towers, the Hermitage of Sant Jeroni, and the arched bridge, one of the town’s most iconic landmarks. If you are interested in history, head to the neighboring town of Móra la Nova to visit the Railway Interpretation Centre. This area was traditionally the main junction for trains coming into Catalonia from the rest of Spain. Close to Mora d’Ebre you’ll also find the beautiful towns of Miravet, Flix, Riba-roja d’Ebre and Tivissa.
