Skiathos, Greece

Skiathos Greece

Much of the island is covered in forest, while the areas around the villages and Skiathos Town are mainly farmland. The forests are predominantly pine and are located in the southeastern part of the island. On clear days, the island of Skopelos, as well as the more distant islands of Euboea and Skyros, can be seen. The highest point of the mountain in the west has a communications tower, and its northern slopes are cut by several valleys. Skiathos has approximately 70 beaches and focuses its tourist appeal on classic sun-and-sand vacations. Its Mediterranean views make it feel like a slice of paradise.
