First Day – the itinerary begins with a sweet experience in Montecatini, where participants will be welcomed with a tasting of the famous Montecatini waffles, a typical product of the local tradition. The wafers, thin and crunchy, are prepared according to ancient recipes, offering an authentic taste of the gastronomic heritage of the area. At the same time, they will offer both the Cialda, divided into triangles, and the other production biscuits: the anise-scented Brigidini and the almond Cantucci. During the tasting, information will be given on the raw materials used, selected with extreme attention in the constant search for quality and taste, and on the production process which gives the biscuits a unique character. The presence of a demonstration video of the production makes the experience even more pleasant and concrete.
After this tasty introduction, we move on for a visit to a historic printing house, where it will be possible to discover the art of artisanal printing and closely observe the traditional techniques used for the creation of prints and decorations on paper and fabrics. This visit will allow you to enter the heart of local craftsmanship, exploring the creative and productive process that has contributed to keeping this ancient art alive.
The day continues with a dinner at the Toscana Fair farmhouse restaurant, where a seasonal menu that highlights local products will be served. The restaurant's cuisine, characterized by attention to the quality and freshness of the ingredients, will offer an authentic and genuine gastronomic experience, immersed in the evocative Tuscan landscape.
After dinner, the overnight stay will be at Casa Spazio Zero, a welcoming structure with a minimalist design, which offers a quiet and comfortable environment to rest. The next day begins with breakfast at the quaint Bar Beatrice Volta, a local café serving pastries and hot drinks for a relaxed start to the day.
