Santa Flavia is an Italian town of 11,246 inhabitants of the metropolitan city of Palermo in Sicily. It is located about 17 km east of the capital, on the Tyrrhenian coast. Constitutes a single conurbation with the nearby Bagheria. It is known as a seaside resort overlooking one of the most beautiful gulfs in Sicily. It has many marinas such as Olivella and Santa Nicolicchia. Its port is the second in Sicily as a number of fishing vessels. It is the birthplace of Gianni Mineo, a partisan who saved the hostages of Chiassa during the Second World War.
