Almuñécar Spain

Almuñécar is a small coastal city in the province of Granada, located between Salobreña and Nerja. It’s an ideal spot for a summer holiday or a peaceful escape from the freezing winters at home, thanks to its subtropical climate and more than 320 days of sunshine a year. Its beaches are the main draw for visitors. The surrounding landscape is dominated by subtropical plantations. Almuñécar is encircled by the Sierra Almijara and the Tropical Valley. Between Almuñécar and Nerja lies the Maro–Cerro Gordo Natural Park. In Almuñécar you can visit the ancient aqueducts and Roman baths, which are a lasting reminder of Roman history in Andalucía.
