Almuñécar Spain

Almuñécar is a small coastal city in the province of Granada, located between Salobreña and Nerja. It’s an ideal summer vacation spot and a peaceful winter escape, thanks to its subtropical climate with sunshine at least 320 days a year. The main attractions are its beaches, along with a landscape dominated by subtropical plantations. Almuñécar is framed by the Sierra Almijara in the so‑called Tropical Valley, and between Almuñécar and Nerja lies the Maro–Cerro Gordo Natural Park. In town, you can visit Roman aqueducts and baths, which showcase the area’s Roman history in Andalusia.
