Invergordon is a town and port in Easter Ross, in Ross and Cromarty, in the Highland council area of Scotland. It lies within the parish of Rosskeen. Today, Invergordon is the leading mural town of the Highlands and aims to follow in the footsteps of its inspiration, Chemainus in British Columbia. The town features 17 murals, created by a range of artists, which tell the stories of the local community and surrounding area. The mural trail grew out of a community project involving 17 local groups. Officially opened by the Princess Royal, the trail is now a major attraction for visitors.
