Minori, Italy

Minori Italy

Minori is a town and comune in the province of Salerno, in the Campania region of south-west Italy. In 1997, as part of the Amalfi Coast, it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Once a favoured holiday retreat of the imperial Roman aristocracy – as shown by the remains of a patrician villa dating from the 1st century AD – the town is now a popular tourist destination, known for its Tyrrhenian waters, natural scenery and delicious pastries, which attract large numbers of visitors every year. For this reason it is also known as the Città del Gusto (City of Taste) and the Eden della Costiera Amalfitana (Eden of the Amalfi Coast), thanks to its mild and pleasant Mediterranean climate.
