Poissy France

Poissy is a town in the Yvelines department in the Île-de-France region in north-central France. It’s in the western suburbs of Paris, about 24 km from the city centre. Its inhabitants are called Pisciacais. In 1561, Poissy was the site of an unsuccessful Catholic–Huguenot conference known as the Colloquy of Poissy. The town later became known for its car industry, successively hosting the Automobiles Grégoire, Matford, Ford SAF, Simca, Chrysler and Talbot factories. Today it is home to one of France’s largest Peugeot factories. The “Simca Poissy engine” was produced here.
