Rosolini Italy

Rosolini is a town and municipality in the Province of Syracuse, in Sicily in the south of Italy. It lies about 200 kilometres (120 miles) southeast of Palermo and about 40 kilometres (25 miles) southwest of Syracuse. Rosolini was already a town in feudal times, and there was a settlement here in the late Imperial Roman and Byzantine periods. In the 15th century, Rosolini was a fief of the Platamones family. In 1713 the Moncada family founded the newer town of Rosolini that we see today. Rosolini shares borders with the following municipalities: Ispica, Modica, Noto and Ragusa.
