Billund, Denmark

Billund Denmark

Billund is a small town in the middle of Denmark’s Jutland Peninsula. It’s home to Denmark’s biggest tourist attraction outside Copenhagen: LEGOLAND Billund. The town is ideal for a family holiday, with plenty of fun activities for children and adults, as well as restaurants, cafés and shops. Alongside LEGOLAND, you’ll find the Billund Museum, beautifully landscaped gardens full of flowers, more than a dozen churches and plenty of places to browse and buy. LEGOLAND Billund itself is the original LEGOLAND park, opened in 1968. Almost everything here is made from LEGO bricks, including miniature versions of some of the world’s most iconic landmarks, and there are rides and attractions to suit all ages, from young children to older visitors. Billund also has a large number of manufacturing companies, excellent facilities for children and young people, and a sculpture park. With what is now Denmark’s second-largest airport on its doorstep, Billund is perfectly placed to be a tourism hub for the whole of Jutland. It may be a relatively young town, but its future looks exceptionally bright.
