Aydin Turkey

Aydin is rapidly becoming a prominent city in the Aegean region. It has many distinctive features, including its main agricultural products: figs, olives, strawberries, and cotton. Because the Seljuks ruled the region for such a long time, it is clear that Aydin’s architectural style is heavily inspired by them. The city is especially rich in folklore performances and dance, known as “Zeybek,” where people dance in groups at a set tempo while wearing traditional costumes. Aydin is also rich in historical monuments that are well worth visiting. Annual camel wrestling events are reportedly held in some of the city’s villages.
