The valley again hosted the Championships in 2013, after previously being a candidate for the 2011 event, which was awarded to Oslo. Since 2007, the Tour de Ski has concluded in Val di Fiemme with the Final Climb stage up the alpine ski slope on Alpe Cermis. Fiemme’s ski area, Val di Fiemme-Obereggen, is part of the Dolomiti Superski circuit.
