Lake Manyara National Park is a Tanzanian national park located in both the Arusha Region and the Manyara Region. Lake Manyara NP is a small park situated at the base of the Rift Valley escarpment. Its groundwater forest offers a refreshing change of scenery from the more savannah-dominated parks. This park is well-known for its tree-climbing lions. The scenic beauty of Manyara is the main reason to travel here and certainly deserves a visit. Lake Manyara's wildlife includes a good number of elephants, buffalo, and wildebeest, along with plenty of giraffes. Zebras, waterbucks, warthogs, and impalas are also abundant.
