Lake Titicaca Peru

Lake Titicaca is a vast, deep body of water located in the Andes, straddling the border of Bolivia and Peru. It is frequently referred to as the "highest navigable lake" on the planet. In terms of both water volume and surface area, it is the largest lake in South America. Before the Incas arrived, other civilizations resided on the shores of Lake Titicaca. In the year 2000, a group of archaeologists from around the world discovered the remains of a submerged temple, believed to be between 1,000 and 1,500 years old, possibly constructed by the Tiwanaku people.
